The check-links workflow always fails with:

We should fix it or remove the workflow, so that we don't always see a failing check on our PRs.

Dependbot is still updating this workflow (e.g, #742) and since this doesn't get run very often (or at all) it's hard to decide if the workflow still works after a version update.

I think we should just remove it since it's been turned off for > 3 years at this point and isn't used.
