eM Client freezes

Hello,

thank you for providing the instructions, I was hoping this could finally solve the issues I have but it doesn't seem to be the case.

I tried both installation ways (Lutris and Bottles) and I can install eM Client without any issues. As soon as I add 1-2 accounts (one is IMAP, the other one CalDav but it also happend with only the IMAP) after some time, the whole application just freezes. The only option I have is to force quit (Wine, Bottles etc) and start again but it happens so quickly the the program is basically unusable.

Currrent eM Client version is emclient-v10.4.5606.msi

Any idea?

Hi, what Wine Runner are you using? See https://github.com/BenJamesAndo/Linux-eMClient#runners-compatibility
Some are more stable than others. I'd recommend trying a different one to the one you're currently using and see if it works better for you. Also set it to Win 8.1 rather than Win 10 or 11 as that can help improve stability.

First I tried it with your script, for some reason the runner did not show up. So I switched to the Bottles method and again tried to follow the instructions as closely as possible. So as runner I am using UMU-Proton-9.0-4e and I changed the Windows version to Windows 8.1 from the beginning. Unfortunately it is not more stable than just running it in vanilla Wine like I tried before (but it looks better due to the fonts).

Have you tried the different Runners? You could also try it via Lutris online installer
