Project Status

  • Timestamp: 2026-04-05 11:59:32 CST
  • Branch: main
  • Base commit before verification docs: 7645ac7
  • Release readiness: BLOCKED

Verification Summary

1) Typecheck

  • Command: npm run typecheck
  • Result: FAILED
  • Exit code: 2
  • Summary: Large number of TypeScript errors across adapters, core runtime/session, repo compression, patch engine, model policy, and E2E runner typings.

Key failure clusters:

  • Adapter/API drift: collaboration.ts, task-adapter.ts, node-adapter.ts, node-adapter.test.ts
  • Session/scanner API drift: missing setScannerSnapshot, getScannerSnapshot, recordFileChanges, getChangedFiles, getTestFiles, getGitStatus, watchRepo, stashChanges, restoreStash
  • Patch engine typing/runtime issues: missing isBinary, verifyWithBuildAdapters, PatchBuildAdapter, PatchVerificationResult, patchContexts, patchDependencyGraph
  • Model/policy shape mismatches: policy.ts, policy.test.ts, deepseek-router.test.ts
  • Import/export issues: runtime.ts importing unexported Session; duplicate exports in src/types/index.ts
  • E2E typing/import issues: .ts extension import errors in tests/e2e/runner.ts

2) Unit Tests

  • Command: npm test
  • Result: FAILED
  • Exit code: 1
  • Totals: 134 passed / 18 failed / 152 total

Representative failures:

  • src/core/scanner.integration.test.ts: scanner.getTestFiles is not a function
  • src/core/scanner.test.ts: assertion failures in scanner expectations
  • src/core/session.test.ts: context compression assertion failure; missing setScannerSnapshot
  • src/model/deepseek-router.test.ts: escalation/fallback/confidence mismatches
  • src/repo/impact-analyzer.test.ts: impact counts and affected test selection mismatches
  • src/tools/patch.integration.test.ts: patch verification/event handling failures; verifyWithBuildAdapters is not defined
  • src/tools/patch.test.ts: fuzzy apply, rollback reason, cleanup snapshot assertions failing

3) Integration Tests

  • Command: npm run test:integration
  • Result: FAILED
  • Exit code: 1
  • Totals: 11 passed / 10 failed / 21 total

Representative failures:

  • Scanner integration API mismatch: scanner.getTestFiles is not a function
  • Patch verification contract failures in src/tools/patch.integration.test.ts
  • E2E scenarios embedded in integration run fail due syntax-check import resolution and module interop issues

4) E2E Tests

  • Command: npm run test:e2e
  • Result: FAILED
  • Exit code: 1
  • Totals: 2 passed / 5 failed / 7 total

Representative failures:

  • Syntax-check sandbox cannot resolve relative imports like ./utils.js, ./utils.ts, ../src/math.ts
  • Default import usage for node:test and node:assert/strict requires esModuleInterop or import style changes
  • Consolidated runner fails because upstream patch application/verification fails

README Status Badges

README was updated to reflect actual verification state rather than an optimistic release posture.

Planned badge values:

  • Release: blocked
  • Typecheck: failing
  • Unit tests: 134/152 passing
  • Integration tests: 11/21 passing
  • E2E: 2/7 passing

Release Blockers

  1. Typecheck does not pass
  2. Public/internal interfaces appear to have drifted between implementation and tests
  3. Patch verification pipeline is incomplete or partially refactored
  4. Session/scanner integration methods referenced by tests are absent
  5. E2E syntax-check environment cannot resolve local imports reliably
  6. Working tree contains substantial uncommitted implementation changes plus generated artifacts

Working Tree Notes

Current repository is not clean. Modified tracked files and generated/untracked directories were present during verification, including:

  • node_modules/
  • dist/
  • .jackcode/
  • .tmp-runtime-tests/
  • multiple modified source and test files

Recommendation

Do not cut a release from the current state. The next step should be a stabilization pass focused on:

  1. Restoring a green npm run typecheck
  2. Reconciling scanner/session/patch APIs with their tests
  3. Fixing patch verification helpers and result contracts
  4. Repairing E2E syntax-check import resolution and Node test import style
  5. Re-running the full verification matrix after cleanup
