It's been a while, but I finally built something that should cover your use case in Macrion. It's a fork of Klick'r with the same familiarity and open source nature, plus full backup compatibility so your existing scenarios just work.

Integration as a plugin as been made with automation apps like MacroDroid, Tasker and Automate. You can check status of, start, stop, or run Scenarios through them autonomously. No intents are required to be configured by the user to make use of them, it's vastly more user friendly.
