From fb9d7f1400b8d9bc4537b8324779a07136bc7f76 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: tannevaled Date: Mon, 12 Oct 2026 10:59:10 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] Out as a Word document or a workbook: pdf-to-word and pdf-to-excel parity 77.2% (88/114), pasted from the tool's own output. The same reading as pdf-to-markdown, written by a different writer: go-ooxml/ooxml v0.3.0, the fleet's first OOXML WRITER, on opc.Build v0.2.0. So what is claimed is again the inference and not a conversion. What comes out is the DOCUMENT, not the pages: the fonts, the margins and the page breaks are the typesetter's work, and a .docx reproducing them would be a picture of a PDF rather than something anybody can edit. excel writes the tables only, one sheet each, because a spreadsheet is a grid of cells and a document is not. AND THE JUDGE IS NOT OUR OWN READER. Where LibreOffice is installed, the writer's own tests ask it -- a package go-ooxml is delighted with can be one Word refuses, and that is a failure nothing in this repository could see.
