No dimension in atleast one axis

I was trying to implement this as an API kind of program and i noticed you decided that there should be at least one dimension present on each axis at all times. I tried to figure out the backend logic of handling nodes and stuff but couldn't get so far. Could you please hint me at what should i do to be able to omit that rule. I was thinking about handling it like pivot.js

Hi @Hirad2hhk, it is not clear to me how to render the table if there is no dimension for one of the axis. Basically you will have rows with zero columns, or columns with zero rows, both of which result in nothing to render.

But perhaps I'm missing something - can you tell me how pivot.js works, or better yet, point me to an example?

In pivot.js, when an axis is empty, the table generates only one row or column of data, aggregating the entire row or column based on the specified aggregation function. I've provided the link to pivot.js above, and this example perfectly illustrates what we're looking for (please select "Table" in the visualization dropdown menu).

While I understand the logic behind what I'm aiming to achieve, I'm having some difficulty integrating this with LeaderPivot. Any guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, I've transitioned the architecture to MVC. It's still a work in progress, but with your approval, I'd like to publish it once it's ready.

I looked at your example. Looked at table and I see a table with two dimensions; rows are "sex" and columns are "smoker".
In this example, a dimension is defined for each axis and the data is grouped. Not sure what I am looking for here (??).

No sure what you mean by "an axis is empty". Do you mean that the column you are grouping on is null?

I believe you didn't touch the dimensions, but if you drag one of the used dimensions (either sex or smoker) and put it on the other axis, one axis becomes empty, or you could put both in the hidden area and both axes would become empty.
The example is a live demo, you can test things for yourself.

Hi @Hirad2hhk - Thank you for this example I see what you are saying now. Unfortunately LeaderPivot is not designed to handle this layout. This is a nice design feature - but if implemented in LeaderPivot it will require a major rewrite.
