Debugging

Yes, you can debug straight into the C++ component. The author of #1525 later confirmed that enabling mixed-mode debugging fixed it. In the C# startup project, open Properties → Debug → Open debug launch profiles UI, then enable native code debugging for the profile you're running. The wording varies a bit between Visual Studio versions; Microsoft's walkthrough shows the setting. If your C++ breakpoints still stay hollow:
The PDB needs to come from the exact build of the DLL the app actually loaded. If you're consuming the component through a NuGet package, rebuilding the C++ project alone can leave the app using an older packaged DLL with a newer, mismatched PDB. The Modules window docs cover those checks. |

Uh oh!

I also have the same question as the previous one. If developing a C# app and C++/WinRT component together, it makes things very difficult if you can't debug into the component. Are there any guidelines on how to debug?
