Our functional tests run on kind cluster because of which we could miss out issues that are cluster dependent. Samples run on all our supported clusters eks, aks and kind. We can leverage this to catch cluster specific issues.

During triage meeting we discussed separating this part of the scope into another issue. We should open another issue to consider having coverage on EKS/AKS clusters as part of PR, but the exact tests to run on those are TBD.
