What changed (only index.html, app.css and app.js in internal/webapp/static/):

• Colors and fonts: HN's palette (orange #ff6600 bar, beige #f6f6ef page, gray #828282 for secondary text, black text) and Verdana at HN's small sizes. The page sits in an 85%-wide column on white and goes full-width on phones. I removed the dark grid background, glows, blur, rounded panels and pill badges.
• Header: a small white-bordered "Q" box, OpsQuest in bold, then where you are (linux | world 1/3: First Shift | stage 3/8). The connection status is plain text on the right, bold when the CLI is disconnected.
• Mission: laid out like an HN post. The title line is 3. Read the Handoff (beginner), with a gray line under it: 45 xp available | 1/2 checks | 1/3 hints | active. The checks and hints counts link down to their sections. The story and objective follow as plain text.
• Outcome checks: a numbered list with small square checkboxes. Satisfied checks get an orange tick and turn gray, like visited links on HN.
• Hints: shown like HN comments, with a gray header (hint 2 of 3 [locked]) and the hint text underneath.
• Field guide: the collapsible sections use HN's [+] / [–] toggles.
• Completion: a box with a thin orange border, the explanation, and gray extras like new command: cat | achievement: First Read.
• Footer: HN's 2px orange rule with "browser for guidance | terminal for truth" and the safety note.

What's gone:

• Single column: the sidebar is gone. This also suits a narrow browser window next to the terminal.
• Progress bar: removed. The 1/2 checks count and the checklist show the same information.
