• Partial updates keep existing fields: blank dropdowns arrive as None and no longer overwrite roles. The current role is merged field by field unless its type or title changes.
• "Add member" for a name that already exists merges into that entry instead of creating "Name 2".
• Past-role advisor label renamed so the value is saved.
