Helper: unique cache names for remuxes and conversions, bounded MKV parsing, sessions stop their own work when the device ends them, stale AirPlay sockets are removed, discovery can't block after it stops, and the check reply reports a protocol number. Plugin: the download command checks the release checksums, a missing or outdated helper shows the setup view instead of a stuck start, crashes show an error while idle, the pairing window's close button cancels, devices with the same name get numbered, the firewall commands use the local network, and a helper path can be set in Settings. ./dev points that setting at its build.
The helper moved to its own repository, Conava/dux-cast, so other apps can use it too. The plugin attaches to the shared helper, shows casts that another app started with the app's name and covers, and asks for a helper with at least protocol 2. The download command takes the newest release. ./dev builds the helper from a dux-cast checkout next to this repo.
The helper's install, packages and doubletake are documented in dux-cast now; Cast's README keeps the AUR line and links there. Settings shows the helper's version, link rows open in the browser instead of being copied, and a busy error names the app that is casting.
