Summary

  • Updates Brazilian Portuguese (pt_BR) catalog so msgids match the current FOSSBilling admin UI (including Title Case strings introduced in the redesign).
  • Adds translations for newly introduced settings/admin strings that were missing from the previous locale release.
  • Touches only pt_BR/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po and messages.mo.

Notes

  • Many newly added strings were AI-assisted and should be reviewed by native speakers on Crowdin if preferred.
  • Includes both .po and .mo to match the current repository layout; maintainers may regenerate .mo from .po if that is the preferred workflow.

Test plan

  • Install/replace pt_BR locale files in a FOSSBilling instance set to i18n.locale = pt_BR
  • Confirm previously English admin labels (e.g. billing periods, activity log retention, settings screens) render in Portuguese
  • Spot-check critical areas: invoices, payments, email settings, system settings

Made with Cursor

Adds Title Case msgid coverage and newly introduced settings strings that were missing from the existing catalog, so the Brazilian Portuguese locale matches the redesigned admin interface.

@eudameron Thanks for contributing to FOSSBilling translations. We usually accept translations via Crowdin (https://translate.fossbilling.org), and it would be great if you could submit these there.

I could import these as one time if they're a significant improvement, but I note that they appear AI generated and haven't been reviewed by a native speaker. We don't have an issue with AI as such, but translations should be reviewed by a native speaker at a minimum before we can accept and approve them.

Could you advise whether these have been reviewed fully by a native speaker before we consider them?

Hello, thanks for the reply! I’m a native speaker and have reviewed the terms; I even made some improvements to the current translation, as there were a few words we don’t use around here—they seemed like European Portuguese terms. Now I’m able to use FOSSBilling in PT-BR in my daily routine without any translation issues.
