Config

Foundation's own config

Foundation has one small config for the things it draws by itself. It only affects the player's own screen. Fabric: config/foundation.json (Mod Menu), NeoForge: config/foundation-common.toml. Group Info Tooltips:

Option Default What it does
enableImprovedTooltips true Rarity tooltip frames with the item icon next to the name, also for creative tab tooltips
enableRarityColors true rarity name colors (tooltip and hotbar) and the rarity label line
showItemInfo true InfoTooltip lines ("Can be placed", [SHIFT] details)
showArmorSetInfo true armor set tooltips
enableAttributeIcons true icons in front of attribute lines
showBlockNotices true notices sent with BlockNotice.send(...)

Everything else (HUD panels, fireflies, fog, particles …) is switched by your mod's config. Read the values in common code through PlatformHelper (enableRarityColors(), showItemInfo() …) if you need them.

Let's Do config screen – client.gui.LetsDoConfigScreen

The start screen every Let's Do mod shows before its config: logo, version, a "Configure…" button and links to website, GitHub, Discord, Ko-fi and Patreon.

// Fabric, ModMenu
@Override
public ConfigScreenFactory<?> getModConfigScreenFactory() {
    return parent -> new LetsDoConfigScreen(parent, MyMod.MOD_ID, screen -> AutoConfig.getConfigScreen(MyFabricConfig.class, screen).get());
}
// NeoForge, client mod constructor
container.registerExtensionPoint(IConfigScreenFactory.class,
        (modContainer, parent) -> new LetsDoConfigScreen(parent, MyMod.MOD_ID, screen -> new ConfigurationScreen(modContainer, screen)));
  • The logo comes from assets/<modid>/textures/gui/logo.png, scaled to fit. No logo → the mod name is shown instead.
  • Name and version are read from the mod metadata.
  • "Done" goes back to the screen you came from.
