FoneCall is a simple, lightweight scrcpy UI. It is a standard native Windows desktop application. Functionally it provides an alternative to the .vbs script file distributed with scrcpy.
The tool overcomes scrcpy constraints:
- Command Prompt Launch: When using the Command Prompt window to launch scrcpy with execution arguments that window must stay active or scrcpy exits.
- Delayed Launch Confirmation: When using the provided
vbsscript to launch scrcpy there is a significant delay between.vbsexecution initiation and display of the mirrored phone screen on the computer screen.
The tool directly resolves common Windows shortcut limitations:
- Taskbar Pinning: Pinning
scrcpy.exenatively opens an unwanted Windows command prompt window and cannot accommodate custom arguments. - VBS Constraints: Pinning the default
.vbsscript directly to the Start Menu or Taskbar is natively blocked by Windows. - Shortcut Issues: Pinning manual Windows shortcuts targeting a
.vbssource file is increasingly problematic in modern Windows builds.
FoneCall wraps your entire screen-mirroring workflow into a streamlined graphical workflow. It provides a clean graphical user interface to launch scrcpy with execution arguments directly from your Start Menu or Taskbar while hiding the background command window. During execution, FoneCall displays and logs scrcpy startup status.
The tool is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for users to configure and launch scrcpy without needing to interact with command-line interfaces. When your phone's screen is displayed on your computer, FoneCall automatically exits, leaving only the mirrored phone screen visible and active.
Welcome describes tool usage. It is only shown the first time FoneCall is launched after installation. The text is included in the log for future reference.

Data Entry captures execution parameters which are saved in an embedded SQLite database (DB). The scrcpy.exe file location is verified and Arguments are validated prior to saving.

Execution starts scrcpy and displays & logs execution status. In the initial launch of FoneCall after installation Execution is triggered by successfully saving the execution parameters to the DB. In subsequent launches Execution is the initial window if valid execution parameters are in the DB. If the parameters are missing or invalid, the user is returned to the Data Entry window to correct the issue.
There is a seven second delay between the launch of FoneCall and the start of scrcpy. During the delay, the user can:
- start scrcpy immediately
- pause the countdown
- cancel the execution and switch to
Data Entry
When the phone is displayed on the computer screen FoneCall exits. If an error occurs, the user is returned to the Data Entry window to correct the issue.

Options Reference and Update displays scrcpy Help and provides the opportunity to add new scrcpy Options when they are introduced. This is the source for the Arguments validation in Data Entry.

FoneCall is a native Windows desktop application built to bridge the gap between your OS and your phone's display.

⚠️ Installation Notice: FoneCall will fail to install if your system lacks .NET Framework 4.8 or higher. If your operating system does not include it, the runtime installer package can be downloaded with the FoneCall_Setup executable or if you prefer you can acquire it directly from Microsoft.
- scrcpy Requirement: FoneCall functions strictly as a user interface wrapper and will not run properly if the underlying scrcpy package (i.e.; the contents of the official installer zip file) is absent. If you do not have the official scrcpy package, it can be downloaded from the official scrcpy project page.
- Official Compatibility: This tool is built and tested exclusively for use with the official version of scrcpy.
Installing FnseCall does not require Administrator privileges. The installation package is a standard Windows installer executable that can be run from any user account. Because FoneCall connects with an individual's smartphone via scrcpy FoneCall is installed in one user's AppData\Local\Programs directory. The DB and log files are stored in the user's AppData\Local\FoneCall directory. The installation process is fast, straightforward and does not require any special configuration.
