<mp:datePicker /> choses wrong year when using short pattern #7

When using <mp:datePicker pattern="dd.mm.yy" /> instead of seeing the year 2016, the year 1916 is presented to the user. When changing pattern to "dd.mm.yyyy" the correct year is displayed.
