Mentivo is a marketplace that connects JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) aspirants with verified, currently-enrolled IIT students for live mentorship — in two formats.
For quick doubts, students open the app, see who's online, and pay per minute for an on-demand voice call. For deeper, recurring guidance, students subscribe to a Sessions plan and get scheduled video calls with a mentor of their choice every month, booked around both sides' availability. We remove the friction between "I have a question" and "I'm talking to someone qualified to answer it," whether that question needs sixty seconds or a standing monthly slot.
JEE aspirants in Tier-2 and Tier-3 India often don't have access to someone who's actually cracked the exam — a senior, an alum, a real point of reference. Coaching institutes teach the syllabus, but the day-to-day doubts, motivation dips, and "is this college/branch actually worth it" questions go unanswered. Mentivo puts a verified IITian one tap away, at a price that scales with how much help a student actually needs.
On-demand voice calls
- Browse — Students see which verified IIT mentors are online right now, filterable by IIT, branch, and rating.
- Call — One tap starts a live voice session. New users get their first 5 minutes free.
- Pay as you go — ₹10/minute, billed from an in-app wallet. No subscription needed.
- Rate — Every call ends with a rating, keeping mentor quality high and visible.
Sessions — scheduled video mentorship
- Subscribe — Students pick a 6- or 12-month plan and get 2 video sessions a month with mentors of their choice.
- Book — Pick an open slot from a mentor's availability for instant confirmation, or propose a custom time and negotiate to a mutually agreed slot.
- Meet — A 30-minute video session, with the option for either side to request a short extension.
- Track progress — Mentors can log a private strengths/weaknesses assessment after each session, visible to coaching partners so they can follow a student's development over time.
Mentors keep the majority of what a student pays across both formats, paid out automatically on a weekly cycle.

Mentivo runs two complementary revenue lines:
On-demand voice calls
- ₹10/minute, billed from an in-app wallet — no subscription required
- 70/30 split: mentors earn 70% of every call, Mentivo takes a 30% platform commission
Sessions subscriptions
- 6-month (₹3,600) and 12-month (₹7,200) plans, each bundling 2 video sessions a month
- 60/40 split: mentors earn 60% of each session's value, Mentivo takes 40%
- Credits don't roll over month to month and subscriptions don't auto-renew, keeping billing simple and predictable for students
Coaching partner revenue
- Partners distribute discounted referral codes (e.g. ₹2,999 for 6 months) exclusive to their linked students
- Each code carries a configurable revenue share, credited to the partner on every subscription purchased or renewed with it
- This replaces our earlier flat revenue share on per-minute calls, aligning partner earnings with the higher-value Sessions product
Go-to-market — Offline-first, launching through coaching institute partnerships before expanding to schools and creator-led acquisition
