Problem
The app does not support a back gesture. On iOS there is no swipe back like in native apps. On Android the system back button/gesture behaves differently between devices. On some phones it navigates back, on others (e.g. Nothing phones) it closes the app entirely.
Proposal
Introduce a swipe back gesture that works the same on both iOS and Android: swiping from the left edge of the screen navigates to the previous page, like in native iOS apps.
The existing in-app back buttons stay as they are. The gesture is an additional way to navigate, not a replacement.
Acceptance criteria
- Swiping from the left edge navigates to the previous page on both iOS and Android
- The gesture behaves the same on both platforms
- If a drawer, popup or dialog is open, the gesture closes it first
- The gesture never closes the app
- Gestures do not conflict with map interactions (panning, drawing, editing geometry)
- All existing in-app back buttons still work as before
