OpenInstinct already has web search. This adds Parallel's free Search MCP for public search and page extraction, with no Parallel account or API key to set up.
The connection itself is eight lines using Eve's existing MCP support, limited to
web_searchandweb_fetch. There's no new SDK, custom transport, or authentication flow to maintain. Public research can happen directly; interactive browsing stays with the browser worker.Existing gateway search, its default, and browser permissions stay unchanged.
Validated locally with 174 passing tests, repository checks, both the Next.js and Eve builds, and live search and page extraction through Eve without credentials.
