Outcome
Complete the generic explicit-hint, client-executed tool_search lifecycle for custom Responses endpoints.
- 0.1.8 Beta3: Implement the generic client tool_search protocol adapter #277 implements the type/protocol adapter.
- 0.1.8 Beta3: Verify the complete generic client tool_search workflow #278 verifies the complete real-CLI lifecycle with protocol-controlled fixtures.
Maintained GLM/K2.7 Provider regressions are deferred to Beta5 and do not select runtime behavior.
Acceptance criteria
- 0.1.8 Beta3: Implement the generic client tool_search protocol adapter #277 and 0.1.8 Beta3: Verify the complete generic client tool_search workflow #278 are closed on the Beta3 candidate lineage.
- Native-compatible
tool_searchremains native; only an incompatible reversible shape is adapted. - Search call/output, discovered declarations, subsequent calls/results, SSE, and history preserve exact identity.
- No-hint non-selection is classified separately from a compatibility defect.
- Hosted search remains a separate selected-Provider capability and is never proxied through another Provider.
- No Provider/model allowlist or production dispatch branch is introduced.
