axios blocked at runtime: 'Class extends value is not a constructor' at module init — a native-builtin base (Error or stream.Transform) is not resolving as a constructor #10662

Description

@proggeramlug

Found by a package-compilability probe: axios now compiles from real source but fails at runtime, and this
is the single blocker.

TypeError: Class extends value is not a constructor

It throws at axios's module-init time, so one of its extends targets is not resolving as a constructor.

Candidate sites in axios

  • AxiosError extends Error
  • CanceledError extends AxiosError
  • AxiosTransformStream extends stream.Transform
  • ZlibHeaderTransformStream extends stream.Transform

The native-builtin bases are the suspects — Error, or stream.Transform served through the
ext-streams/ext-http well-known wrapper dedup path. First step is to narrow which one, since that decides
whether this is new or a manifestation of existing work.

Likely neighbours — check before writing a fix

This cycle has produced a cluster of native-base heritage fixes, and this may be one of them seen from axios's
angle:

If #10636 or #10649 already fixes it once landed, close this and say so rather than duplicating.
