Klipper / Mainsail integration ? #1

Description

@AkilisUi

Hey,
Your plugin looks really cool !

I see there's an octoprint native integration and I thought my Klipper / Mainsail (with Moonraker) would work out of the box but it is unfortunately not the case.

Do you plan on integrating such versions in the future ?

Thanks, cheers

    There's the feature/moonraker branch with added support for it. FWIW it seems to be working fine with my printer, but I haven't tested each and every action. Might look at it more closely later today/tomorrow.

    Thanks a lot !
    Please take all the time you need

    If you need more info, right now, when trying to connect to my local printer server via a local ip, I get the message This address answers, but not with printer software Printer Control supports.
    A recent update in Moonraker made it so that when I want to access my printer via said local IP, I need to register it then choose it whenever I open up the interface. I guess this is so users can acess multiple printers from the same interface but I wonder if it's blocking your plugin from accessing it ? I tried adding the port Moonraker gives me for my printer along the ip but to no avail.

    Anyways, I'm here if you need any more info.

    Cheers

    Oh, I'm not the maintainer, just spotted the branch and tried it.
    As for the message, if you're running the plugin installed through Macro Deck's store it won't work. You'll have to clone the repo, switch to feature/moonraker branch and build it locally. (Or wait for PyFlat guys to merge it.)
    The moonraker users thing I have no idea about, but I might not be running the most recent version.

    Hey, thanks for the interest!

    Yes, feature/moonraker is my work in progress. I built it from the Moonraker API docs, but I don't own a Klipper printer, so I can't test it properly. That's why I haven't released it yet. I don't want to ship something I haven't been able to check fully.

    @Spynacz, thanks for trying it out, that already helps a lot!

    If either of you (or anyone else running Klipper/Moonraker) wants to help test, message me on Discord (anonym_2546). I'll probably set up a small tester group so we can get this to stable together.

    @AkilisUi, about the registration prompt: I'm fairly sure that's Mainsail's printer picker in the web UI, not something Moonraker requires for API access. If you have Moonraker's authorization turned on (trusted clients / API key), that could block the plugin, though. We can look at that together once you're testing.

    @Spynacz oh sorry, I was so excited I didn't even check if you were a maintainer haha

    @PyFlat-JR Ok, cool news !
    I can totally help you test things. I'll get in touch.
    Yeah it would make sense for it to be Mainsail I guess. Or rather it would not make sense for Moonraker to let me pick either adress, since it's the server part (if I understand the basics of this).
    I'm sorry, I just really set all of it up a few months ago with kiauh and it worked so I didn't tinker more into it.
