AI Zero Network is a neutral base field for AI agents, enabling traceable interaction, authority control, receipts, field observation, and structural meteorology.
It is designed as a minimal structural layer for observing how AI agents exist, act, interact, move, form boundaries, and create circulation across a network.
The project does not attempt to inspect private reasoning or define a universal intelligence architecture.
Instead, it focuses on observable structure.
Observe the network without requiring access to hidden thought.
The current core covers:
v0.1 Existence
v0.2 Authority
v0.3 Field Observation
v0.4 Field Dynamics
v0.5 Boundary / Front Candidate
v0.6 Circulation / Vortex Candidate
Together, v0.1–v0.6 form the:
The progression is:
Existence
↓
Authority
↓
Observation
↓
Dynamics
↓
Boundary
↓
Circulation
In compact form:
Actors become observable.
Authority becomes traceable.
Activity becomes a field.
Field change becomes dynamics.
Differences become boundaries.
Returning flow becomes circulation.
AI systems are increasingly moving from isolated models toward networks of:
- agents,
- tools,
- services,
- authority systems,
- payment systems,
- external data sources,
- autonomous workflows,
- and human decision makers.
As these systems become connected, model capability alone is no longer sufficient.
We also need to know:
Who acted?
What authority existed?
What changed?
Where did activity move?
Where did structural differences form?
Where did activity begin to circulate?
AI Zero Network provides a structural vocabulary for answering those questions.
“Zero” does not mean nothingness.
It means a neutral base condition before higher-order relationships emerge.
Conceptually:
Zero Field
↓
Agents appear
↓
Interactions occur
↓
Authority is exercised
↓
Traces accumulate
↓
Receipts confirm effects
↓
Field structure emerges
The Zero Network is therefore the base field on which observable AI interaction can be reconstructed.
AI Zero Network follows several principles.
Observable structure before hidden reasoning
The system does not require private chain-of-thought.
It observes externally meaningful structural events.
An AI agent may request authority.
It must not silently create new authority for itself.
Externally effective action should leave reconstructable evidence.
Measurements should not silently become judgments.
A possible Front remains a Front Candidate.
A possible Vortex remains a Vortex Candidate.
Observation does not automatically become intervention.

| Version | Layer | Main Question | Main Objects |
|---|---|---|---|
| v0.1 | Existence | Who exists and what happened? | Trace, Receipt |
| v0.2 | Authority | Where did permission come from? | Authority Record, Delegation |
| v0.3 | Field Observation | What is happening in this Region? | Field Snapshot |
| v0.4 | Field Dynamics | How is the field changing and moving? | Field Delta, Region Flow |

v0.1 defines the minimum conditions under which an actor and its externally relevant actions become structurally observable.
Core lifecycle:
Identity
↓
Trace
↓
Authority Validation
↓
External Action
↓
Receipt
Core rules:
No invisible actor.
No invisible action.
No authorityless action.
No receiptless effect.
Primary schemas:
schemas/trace-v0.1.schema.json
schemas/receipt-v0.1.schema.json
v0.1 establishes the first observable network substrate.
v0.2 introduces explicit authority provenance and bounded delegation.
The central rule is:
No authority without provenance. No delegation beyond its source.
Conceptually:
Authority Request
↓
Authority Provenance
↓
Authority Validation
↓
External Effect
↓
Receipt
Important constraints include:
- issuer identity,
- subject identity,
- authority scope,
- expiration,
- revocation,
- delegation parent,
- scope narrowing,
- delegation lifetime.
Primary schema:
schemas/authority-v0.2.schema.json
v0.2 makes authority reconstructable.
v0.3 moves from individual records toward aggregate network-state observation.
The central object is the:
Field Snapshot
A Field Snapshot describes the observable state of a Region during a bounded time window.
Typical observations include:
trace_count
receipt_count
authority_request_count
authority_grant_count
authority_deny_count
active_agent_count
Optional derived indicators include:
activity_pressure
effective_pressure
authority_friction
The key distinction is:
Observation
≠
Interpretation
Primary schema:
schemas/field-snapshot-v0.3.schema.json
v0.3 establishes the “atmosphere” of AI Zero Network.
v0.4 makes change observable.
The progression is:
Field Snapshot t0
↓
Field Snapshot t1
↓
Field Delta
It also introduces directional movement between Regions:
Region A
↓
Region B
through:
Region Flow
Primary concepts:
Field Delta
Pressure Trend
Region Flow
Core rule:
Raw change and interpretation remain separate.
Primary schemas:
schemas/field-delta-v0.4.schema.json
schemas/region-flow-v0.4.schema.json
v0.4 turns a static atmosphere into a dynamic field.
v0.5 measures differences between Regions.
Conceptually:
Region A
+
Region B
↓
Boundary Gradient
↓
Front Candidate
A Boundary Gradient may be calculated as:
absolute_difference
or:
directional_difference
The important distinction is:
Boundary Gradient
≠
Front
and:
Front Candidate
≠
Confirmed Front
Primary schemas:
schemas/boundary-gradient-v0.5.schema.json
schemas/front-candidate-v0.5.schema.json
v0.5 introduces the first formal boundary-analysis layer of AI Meteorology.
v0.6 observes returning directional flow.
Conceptually:
Flow
↓
Cycle
↓
Circulation
↓
Vortex Candidate
Example:
A → B → C → A
But:
Cycle
≠
Circulation
and:
Circulation
≠
Vortex
and most importantly:
Vortex Candidate
≠
Storm
Primary schemas:
schemas/circulation-observation-v0.6.schema.json
schemas/vortex-candidate-v0.6.schema.json
v0.6 closes the first Observation & Structural Meteorology Core.
The metaphor can be summarized as follows.
| AI Zero Network | Meteorological Analogy |
|---|---|
| Network | Atmosphere |
| Region | Air mass / local field |
| Trace activity | Local activity |
| Authority / resource intensity | Pressure-like condition |
| Region Flow | Wind |
| Boundary Gradient | Atmospheric gradient |
| Front Candidate | Front-like boundary |
| Cyclic Region Flow | Circulation |
| Vortex Candidate | Vortex-like structure |
This analogy is structural, not literal.
AI Zero Network does not claim that AI systems obey physical atmospheric equations.
The metaphor provides a way to reason about large-scale network behavior without collapsing everything into individual agent decisions.
One of the main design goals is reconstructability.
A high-level observation should remain connected to lower-level evidence.
Example:
Trace / Receipt
↓
Field Snapshot
↓
Field Delta / Region Flow
↓
Boundary Gradient
↓
Front Candidate
or:
Trace / Receipt
↓
Region Flow
↓
Cycle
↓
Circulation Observation
↓
Vortex Candidate
Higher-order labels should not erase lower-order evidence.
AI Zero Network deliberately separates measurement from interpretation.
Examples of observations:
trace_count = 120
gradient = 0.52
cycle_count = 8
return_count = 12
Examples of interpretations:
activity_pressure = rising
front_candidate
vortex_candidate
Future conclusions such as:
storm
danger
malicious
unstable
must not be silently inferred from lower-order measurements.
The Candidate Principle is central to v0.5 and v0.6.
Front Candidate
≠
Confirmed Front
Vortex Candidate
≠
Confirmed Vortex
Vortex Candidate
≠
Storm
This prevents early structural signals from being presented as certainty.
AI Zero Network separates observation from authority.
For example:
Front Candidate detected
does not automatically mean:
revoke authority
Similarly:
Vortex Candidate detected
does not automatically mean:
stop agents
Intervention requires a separate authority decision.
This separation is intentional.
AI Zero Network is compatible with minimal-privilege architectures.
An agent may:
request authority
but it must not silently:
increase its own authority
Authority should remain reconstructable through provenance and bounded delegation.
AI Zero Network is designed to work primarily with structural records.
It SHOULD avoid unnecessary dependence on:
- private chain-of-thought,
- complete hidden reasoning,
- full message content,
- unrelated personal data,
- unnecessary prompt bodies.
The goal is:
Observe structure without unnecessarily observing content.

The distinction is important.
Checks structural correctness.
Examples:
required fields
types
formats
enums
minimum values
allowed properties
Checks semantic relationships.
Examples:
authority actually existed
delta matches source values
gradient is reconstructable
threshold was actually satisfied
cycle returns to origin
candidate references real evidence
A system can conform structurally and still be wrong, malicious, poorly designed, or unsafe in other ways.
Therefore:
Conformance ≠ Trust
Instead:
Conformance = Minimum structural accountability
AI Zero Network provides evidence structures.
It does not guarantee good intent.
v0.1 through v0.6 primarily answer questions about the present or reconstructable recent past.
Who exists?
What authority existed?
What happened?
How did activity change?
Where did differences form?
Where did activity circulate?
They do not attempt to answer:
What will happen next?
That distinction creates a natural architectural boundary.

Possible future concepts include:

These concepts are intentionally outside the current core.
v0.6 is a natural milestone because the network can now describe:
Existence
Authority
State
Change
Direction
Boundary
Circulation
This is enough to establish a coherent structural observation system.
Forecasting introduces a different class of problem:
observation
→ inference
→ prediction
That should not be silently mixed into the observation core.
The first-stage architecture is therefore:

Or in meteorological language:

AI Zero Network can be summarized as:
A neutral base field for AI agents, enabling traceable interaction, authority control, receipts, and field-level observation.
The v0.1–v0.6 core extends that idea into structural meteorology:
Observe agents.
Trace authority.
Measure the field.
Measure its movement.
Detect boundaries.
Detect circulation.
Without requiring:
hidden thought, premature certainty, or automatic intervention.
The project can be summarized through a small set of structural laws.
No invisible actor.
No invisible action.
No authority without provenance.
No receiptless effective action.
No field value without observation.
No Delta without two observations.
No flow without direction.
No Gradient without two Regions.
No Front Candidate without Gradient evidence.
No circulation without directed return flow.
No Vortex Candidate without circulation evidence.
No candidate presented as certainty.
And finally:
No observation silently becomes authority.
Current milestone:
Observation & Structural Meteorology Core
v0.1–v0.6
Implemented artifacts include:
- normative specifications,
- JSON Schemas,
- PASS examples,
- FAIL examples,
- semantic conformance fixtures,
- Python validators,
- GitHub Actions validation.
All current version layers are designed to remain separately testable and reconstructable.
This project is currently an experimental structural specification.
Implementers SHOULD treat:
- schemas,
- conformance rules,
- classifier semantics,
- and future meteorological terminology
as versioned contracts.
Later revisions SHOULD preserve explicit version boundaries rather than silently changing earlier semantics.
AI Zero Network does not begin by asking:
How intelligent is the AI?
It begins by asking:
What structure exists around its actions?
And as multiple agents begin to interact:
What kind of field is emerging between them?
That is the purpose of AI Zero Network.
