This pull request introduces a new approach for handling request cancellation in the HTTP API routes, ensuring that only failed response deliveries abort request processing, rather than aborting after every completed request. It does so by introducing a new deliveryFailureSignal, updating the API route context and all relevant handlers to use this signal, and adding comprehensive tests. Additionally, it improves error checking in the smoke tests for legacy abort behavior.
