AvoGuard - A low-cost spectral analysis sensor board to do material analysis, particularly for avocado.
Avoguard is a dedicated optical sensing board designed to work with external microcontrollers. It provides controlled multi-wavelength illumination, light sensing, and clean analog outputs for experiments related to fruit inspection, especially avocado quality detection!. While this board is main;ly used for Avocado ripeness sensing, it can be used for other material analysis related things too!
AvoSense works by turning on different LED wavelengths, one at a time and shining them onto the object, then using the OPT101 to measure how much light comes back. The LED driver keeps the brightness stable, so the readings stay consistent. The sensor converts the light into an analog voltage, which is sent to an external controller or ADC for processing and comparison between wavelengths.
