The trixie headers package couldn't be installed, and once forced in it couldn't build a module. Anyone building an out-of-tree driver on a WLAN Pi hits this.
/usr/includeuapi headers (headers_install), which collide withlinux-libc-devand abort the install./lib/modules/<release>/buildpointing at the CI runner's checkout, and the headers package shipped the same path.arch/arm64was flattened (noarch/arm64/Makefile) andModule.symverswas missing, somake M=failed. The headers tree now comes from the kernel's own
scripts/package/install-extmod-build, the helpermake bindeb-pkguses. The kernel packages no longer shipbuildorsource. The headers package depends on the kernel package (or the dual package) from the same build, and declaresReplacesso upgrading from today's packages works in either unpack order.Same change for 7.2-trixie: #64
