AnsibleForms 7 images run as the user node (uid 1000) with HOME=/home/node (the app's Dockerfile and Dockerfile.rte-base: USER node, ENV HOME=/home/node), and DEPRECATED.md ("Upgrading from 6.5 to 7.0.0") moves the ssh folder from /root/.ssh to /home/node/.ssh. With HOME_DIR=/root, data/ssh and data/git/.gitconfig were mounted where neither container looks.

  • .env: HOME_DIR=/home/node, and the HOME_PATH comment names /home/node as the image's home.
  • README: sudo chown -R 1000:1000 data in Getting started, and the same once for an install coming from 6, whose container ran as root (MySQL re-owns its own folder at start, docker-entrypoint.sh).
  • CI: the same chown before starting the stack, since the checkout belongs to the runner's user, not uid 1000.

Checked locally with the latest-rc app and ansibleforms-rte-full images: the app generates its key in data/ssh, and the RTE (uid 1000) sees it in /home/node/.ssh.
