I'm a Machine Learning research scientist/FDE ML Lead. In my job, I work on deploying AI to marketing teams, and my research interests centre on covering NLP and neurocomputation for logical reasoning tasks. Previously, I was an ML researcher at Eigen Technologies (part of Sirion), a Research Fellow in the O'Keefe Lab (Sainsbury Wellcome Centre). I completed my PhD in the Bizley Lab (UCL Ear Institute), where I TA-ed for Web Development and Software Engineering within the UCL CS Department. I'm most interested in generalisation in all its forms, including whether (arguably) LLMs can generalise or adopt human-like mechanisms of 'thinking'. This profile contains my public work and my earlier work from my time in academia. I still hold my position as an affiliate researcher (not willing to fully let go of academia yet!).
In my PhD/post-doc, I studied:
- applying machine learning techniques to solve neuroscience problems and improve artificial neural networks (esp. w.r.t. spatial navigation and sensory perception)
- developing software for neuroscience research, particularly for spike sorting and classification 🧠 📊
