Hi there Github world👋

About me

I'm a senior CS major, DS minor student at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I've really enjoyed working on backend/API services.

  • I'm currently working on Databricks, and learning pyspark to prepare/fine tune big data sets to advantage of machine learning to drive business insights.
  • I want to learn how to develop a test development mindset. I plan on expanding on the unit testing I explored during my senior project.

Technical Skills

  • Favorite IDE: Visual Studio Code
  • Other IDEs: Android, Eclipse, JetsBrain Rider
  • Languages with significant project experience: Python, Java, C#
  • Languages I'm familiar with/have tinkered in: JavaScript (Next.JS Framwork for React as well), HTML/CSS, Erlang, Dart, Swift
  • Resources/Tools/Frameworks/Cloud I'm familiar with: Flutter, Firebase, npm, Docker, Spring Boot, Git
  • Data: R/RStudio, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Pandas, Pyspark, Databricks, tensorflow, pytorch, Excel

Favorite Project

  • My make every mile count project. You can find it below in my 6 pinned repositories. In particular I love this project because it was my first attempt at solving a real world problem that personally impacted me as I've done gig delivery driving before. I got to learn more about MVC design, Java, Spring Boot, and API development as I built the project. I hope to expand on it in the future beyond the time I dedicated to it for my senior project as there's plenty of room to improve it.
