=======

Release Summary

This major release includes significant breaking changes to align with AWS service retirements and modernize the collection's requirements. AWS WAF Classic modules (waf_condition, waf_info, waf_rule, waf_web_acl) and their aliases have been removed following the retirement of AWS WAF Classic. The inspector_target module has been removed following the retirement of AWS Inspector Classic. Support for ansible-core versions below 2.18 has been dropped, and the collection now requires ansible-core >= 2.18.0 which supports Python >= 3.11. Support for botocore<1.38.0 and boto3<1.38.0 has been dropped. Most modules will continue to work with older versions of the AWS SDK. However, compatibility with older versions of the SDK is not guaranteed and will not be tested. When using older versions of the SDK a warning will be emitted by Ansible. This release also includes bugfixes for the eks_nodegroup module's check mode handling and integration test improvements.

Minor Changes

  • CI test matrices updated against ansible-core 2.21 in addition to 2.18, 2.19, and 2.20 (#2493).

Bugfixes

  • eks_nodegroup - Fixed check mode to correctly report changed status when validating tags, labels, and taints. Fixed label comparison to detect value changes. Fixed sequential update operations by waiting for nodegroup to return to ACTIVE state after updating scaling/launch template configuration before attempting to update labels, taints, or tags. Fixed wait handling in check mode to avoid unnecessary waits when no actual changes were made (#2505).

=======

Release Summary

This minor release deprecates the inspector_target module following Amazon's retirement of the Inspector Classic service, and includes improvements to the s3_cors module with check_mode support and idempotency fixes.

Minor Changes

  • s3_cors - Added support for check_mode operation (#2471).

Deprecated Features

Bugfixes
