Summary

  • evalshift report and evalshift compare end with a one-line request to star the repo on GitHub, with the link:
★ Find EvalShift useful? A star on GitHub helps: https://github.com/evalshift/evalshift-cli
  • A blank line sets it apart from the output above. The star is yellow, "A star on GitHub" is bold and the URL is cyan; soft_wrap keeps the URL clickable on narrow terminals.
  • Terminal only: it is gated on Console.is_terminal, so CI logs, the GitHub Action's captured output and piped output never include it.
  • The helper lives in cli/commands/_star.py and is called from both commands right after the report path is printed.
  • Docs: CHANGELOG.md (Unreleased → Added), DOCS.md, llms-full.txt, docs/getting-started.md.

Test plan

  • tests/unit/test_star_prompt.py: shown on a terminal, separated by a blank line, nothing when piped, URL kept on one line at 40 columns
  • report and compare end-to-end, with TTY_COMPATIBLE=1 (shown) and TTY_COMPATIBLE=0 (not shown)
  • make ci: ruff, format, mypy --strict, 3105 tests pass
  • pre-commit run --all-files
  • Ran evalshift compare --suite-name triage by hand in a real terminal on a test project

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

`report` and `compare` end with one line asking for a star, with the repo
link. It prints on interactive terminals only, so CI logs, the GitHub
Action's output and anything piped stay free of it.
