JUST-OS writes its answers with [OpenScholar](https://huggingface.co/OpenSciLM/Llama-3.1_OpenScholar-8B) (Llama-3.1_OpenScholar-8B), an open language model built to synthesise the scientific literature with citations. OpenScholar was developed by Akari Asai and colleagues at the University of Washington and the Allen Institute for AI (Ai2). We thank them for releasing the model and its code openly. The model is hosted on the University of Groningen's LLM service.
