A personal website built with HTML and CSS, deployed by Netlify. No browser JavaScript or external fonts are required.
Python 3 is the only build requirement; there are no Python dependencies to install.
python3 build.py
python3 -m http.server 8000 --directory distOpen http://localhost:8000. The dedicated publication page is at
http://localhost:8000/publications.html. Netlify also serves the existing clean
URLs, including /publications and /conferences.
Netlify runs the same build command and publishes dist/. Generated files are
ignored by Git. Rebuild after editing source files; preview dist/, not site/.
- Edit the biography in
site/index.htmland styles insite/css/styles.css. - Edit publications only in
content/publications.html. This shared HTML fragment contains the year links, year headings, and complete publication list. Add entries under the appropriate year, newest first. For a new year, add both a year section and its anchor link, following the existing structure. - Keep the
<!-- PUBLICATIONS -->placeholder in bothsite/index.htmlandsite/publications.html. The build inserts the same fragment into each page, and fails if the fragment is missing/empty or a placeholder is missing/repeated.
The build copies the other pages, images, CSS, and Netlify configuration files
from site/. Shared source content is kept outside the published directory.
