Do we still need all this? Does this all even still work?
Do we really need to configure vscode with those fonts? Why not leave it stock? I don't use or test vscode.

I guess most of these are remnants from the bluefin repo. Don't really know are these used by anything. Remember that we modified the fonts at some point because some icons/symbols/whetever were not showing correctly or something.

I say we should probably remove all this and just keep vscode with stock config

Some of the stuff is holdover from distro box configurations.

That's what podman-host is for and the other script to basically enter a distrobox like using code .

The profile has some fonts and defaults to installing the devcontainer extension as well.

This is from way back when it was trying to be you open before and it kinda is setup enough to just work.

There should also be a flatpak override for exposing the podman user socket to vscode as well.

Personally, I use the flatpak vscode with the podman-host wrapper. I occasionally use distroboxes but mostly have a devcontainer per project.

We have been blocklisting flatpak vscode for over a year, it's either in the image or you should use homebrew (although we need to wire that up in bazaar still).

To me it looks like we also never documented any of this.
