Release change is consistent. pyproject.toml, uv.lock and the ## [0.14.0] heading agree on 0.14.0. The heading format matches scripts/check-release.py and scripts/extract-changelog.py. [Unreleased] is now empty and the notes moved under the new version. CHANGELOG.md uses no link reference definitions, so no new link needs adding.
CI checks were still queued or in progress at review time. Merge only after they pass.
The notes become the GitHub Release body and the PyPI page, so both are permanent once the tag lands. `drops with a warning any a ready index does not cover` was a garden path, and it asserted more than is known: `list_search_indexes` fails open, so an unconfirmed pair is not the same as one no index covers.
