Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Token issuance is now disabled and returns a clear error; failed issuance does not create tokens or change balances.
    • Token identifiers are checked for conflicts across both symbols and minimum units.
    • Fee calculations now resolve tokens by minimum unit, including when a legacy token has a conflicting symbol.
    • ERC-20 token handling now validates tokens when no mint unit is registered.
    • Simulation handles disabled issuance without treating it as an unexpected delivery failure.
  • Tests
    • Added coverage for issuance errors, identifier conflicts, fee-token selection, and simulation behavior.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Token issuance now returns a disabled error, which simulation handles separately from other delivery errors. Token validation checks identifier collisions across symbols and min units. ERC20 and swap-fee logic use min-unit lookup.

Changes

Disabled token issuance

Layer / File(s) Summary
Disable keeper issuance
modules/token/types/errors.go, modules/token/keeper/keeper.go, modules/token/keeper/keeper_test.go, modules/token/keeper/erc20_test.go
IssueToken returns ErrIssueTokenDisabled without creating a token or changing supply or balances. Tests cover direct calls and both message servers. ERC20 tests use the issuance helper.
Handle disabled issuance in simulation
modules/token/simulation/operations.go, modules/token/simulation/operations_test.go
Simulation returns a no-error no-op for ErrIssueTokenDisabled. Other delivery errors remain errors.

Token identifier validation and lookup

Layer / File(s) Summary
Validate identifiers across indexes
modules/token/keeper/token.go, modules/token/keeper/identifier_test.go
assertTokenValid rejects symbol-to-min-unit and min-unit-to-symbol collisions. Tests check duplicate identifiers in AddToken and DeployERC20.
Resolve ERC20 and swap tokens by min unit
modules/token/keeper/erc20.go, modules/token/keeper/keeper.go, modules/token/keeper/identifier_test.go
The ERC20 path validates the token before checking its trace. Swap-fee calculation looks up the target by min unit. Tests cover a legacy token whose symbol differs from its configured min unit.

Disabling issuance and tightening identifier checks work as intended for new tokens. However, a chain whose existing tokens already share a symbol with another token's min unit would fail to start from an exported genesis. Provide a compatible import path or a migration before merging.

Preserve genesis import for legacy identifier collisions.

ExportGenesis can export tokens whose symbol and min unit collide across records. The new check rejects those records when InitGenesis calls AddToken, so starting a chain from that exported genesis now panics. TestSwapFeeTokenUsesMinUnit constructs this exact legacy state with "uoutput". Keep the guard for new tokens, but provide a compatible import path or migrate legacy collisions before export.
