Does not round corners of images

I am not entirely sure if this is a user errror, but I've been using this package on buttons. I noticed early that I have to remove the default sprite for it to work but now I would like to add a specific image to a button but can't because then the corners are immediately pointy again.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a known issue?
