The README opened with one still. It shows the diff, but not the part that makes a review a review — so a first-time reader never sees the app move.

docs/comment-on-a-line.gif closes the What it does section, right after the "agents are first-class" bullet, and runs the whole round-trip: a line in the diff is hovered, the blue + appears, the composer opens, a question about Escape handling is typed and submitted, and Claude Code answers in the same thread. The lead-in reads:

Comments go on the line, the way a pull request does them. The agent that wrote the code answers in the same thread, while you are still reading the diff.

Where the frames came from. The comment-and-reply beat captured for the ad by scripts/ad/capture-ad.mjs on worktree-ad-video — nothing was re-recorded, so the UI matches the still already at the top of the README.

Encoding. 1600×900 at 20fps, displayed at width="800" like the still, so it is 2× on a retina screen. A 1.4s hold on the last frame keeps the reply readable before the loop restarts. 2.2 MB, palette of 128 colours with stats_mode=diff and diff_mode=rectangle — the dark, mostly static UI compresses well, so full resolution costs less than a downscale at a naive palette would.

Note on the merge commit. This branch was opened before #109 split the README into a front page and eight guides, which removed the paragraph the GIF was anchored to. Main was merged in, its README taken whole, and the GIF re-placed in the new structure. The diff against main is still only those six lines plus the asset.

The README opened with a single still, which shows the diff but not the part
that makes a review a review. `docs/comment-on-a-line.gif` runs the whole
round-trip: a line in the diff is hovered, the composer opens, a question is
typed and submitted, and Claude Code answers in the same thread.

The frames are the `comment-and-reply` beat captured for the ad by
`scripts/ad/capture-ad.mjs` on `worktree-ad-video` — no new recording, so the
UI matches the existing still. Cut to 1600x900 at 20fps with a 1.4s hold on the
last frame so the reply is readable before the loop restarts; 2.2 MB, displayed
at 800 like the still beside it.

The README was split into a front page and eight guides while this branch was
open, which removed the paragraph the GIF was anchored to. Took main's README
whole and re-placed the GIF at the end of "What it does", where it now follows
the "agents are first-class" bullet rather than the old cache paragraph.
