The BIBFRAME ontology includes a handful of Instance subclasses : https://id.loc.gov/ontologies/bibframe.html#c_Instance. Particularly for Print and Electronic, the BIG DCTap/SHACL group would like to see the conversion from MARC assign Instance rdftypes. The advantage of doing this is that it will help filter Instances for finer-tuned validation purposes.
