Owner

Owner idea from 2026-10-10: researchers and students upload transcripts of human-conducted interviews (.vtt, .srt, .docx, .txt; audio later) and run the same analysis, Explore, projects and export on them.

  • docs/design/imported-transcripts-design.md: decisions I1–I8 with rejected alternatives, the data/evidence model, attestation in place of participant consent, the cleaning model, storage (migration 4, backup format 4), UI sketch, phases, and owner questions (§10).
  • src/lib/import/: pure parsers producing one ImportedTranscript shape, with limits and typed errors, and hostile-input tests (51 unit tests). Not wired to any route or UI. No new dependency.

A draft for discussion; nothing here ships until the owner questions are answered.

Import-only studies on the ordinary study model, immutable raw turns with
raw-coordinate citations, researcher attestation bound to the named provider
(not participant consent), deterministic preparation before optional AI
cleaning as a reviewable patch, migration 4 / backup format 4 on both stores,
and owner questions. A proposal, not a release.

Pure functions producing a common ImportedTranscript with typed errors and
size/turn limits; the DOCX reader inflates only word/document.xml with a
bounded inflater and resolves no external relationships. No routes, UI or
dependencies.
