Encrypted vault, CLI and MCP server so agents use secrets by name while values are filled in outside the agent and hidden from any output. - Vault: one XChaCha20-Poly1305 blob; master key in the OS keychain. On macOS the Keychain item trusts only the Veil binary, and Veil signs itself with the hardened runtime so code can't be injected into it. - MCP tools list_secrets, run_with_secrets, http_request; none returns a value. Scoped secrets go only to allowed hosts, headers-only by default. - Redaction of raw, base64 (any alignment), hex, URL and JSON forms, streaming-safe and fuzz-tested. - veil ui: local web UI; revealing a value or loosening rules needs Touch ID or the login password. - veil import: move secrets out of .env files. - Audit log, canary end-to-end tests, CI, release config, EN/TH docs.
