Purpose

Prepare dedicated Azure Compute Galleries and image definitions for Windows Server 2025 Core under RELOPS-1663 / Bug 2078960.

Changes

Extend the existing local.shared_images maps with:

  • Untrusted: win2025_64_24h2_core, win2025_64_24h2_core_alpha.
  • Trusted: trusted_win2025_64_24h2_core.

The existing resources create a gallery and image definition for each entry: six new resources in total. Definitions use the Core SKU, Windows/x64/V2, and existing NVMe/tag/resource-group conventions. The trusted gallery stays in the trusted subscription.

Azure can contain multiple image definitions in one gallery. Separate Core galleries follow this repository's existing model and keep Core/Desktop version histories isolated. Existing galleries, image definitions, versions, and state addresses are unchanged.

Ordering / safety

Review and apply these additions before building the corresponding worker-images configs. Build and verify the exact candidates before landing the fxci-config pool references.

No Terraform init, validate, plan, apply, or image build was run. A reviewed plan showing only the expected gallery/definition additions is required before any apply. This PR does not authorize deployment or workload routing.

Companion PRs

Validation

Local execution was stopped at the user's request. Validation is left to CI; no Terraform plan is claimed.
