The QUIC UDP sockets kept the 208 KiB default send buffer, which fills in about 2 ms at 900 Mbps. On the WAN MITM bench about 20% of sendmsg calls failed with EAGAIN; behind each one xquic retried on every wakeup and logged three ERROR lines. Request 1 MiB for SO_SNDBUF and SO_RCVBUF in UdpSocket::bind, mqvpn's value (the kernel caps it at net.core.{w,r}mem_max and doubles it).

On the bench kernel sendmsg EAGAIN went from ~20% to 0, and throughput rose 12-19% single path and 28-37% multipath (paired runs).
