Tasha is a tool for creating player characters for the 5.5e Dungeons & Dragons (2024) tabletop game. It is an incomplete rewrite of a program that I originally wrote in python.
The program's name is inspired by an iconic character in D&D lore.
Below is a list of incorporated rulebooks (more may be added as they become available).
Below are details on the basic usage of tasha.
Get the current working version using the following command.
./tasha version
Create a new character using the following command. Once the function has been complete, the user will be prompted to save the character. Note that your saved character's will be saved under the <CHARACTER_NAME> in all lower case values with .toml appended at the end. Spaces will be replaced with "_".
./tasha create <CHARACTER_NAME>
Read details from an existing character sheet using the following command.
./tasha read <CHARACTER_NAME>
