@12hrformat PR: #1769 already in the works for Ubuntu 26.04, as ubuntu is based from Debian, it would only require slight adjustment from my ubuntu work.

I do have a test branch https://github.com/solidus1983/dotfiles/tree/test/ubuntu-26-04-vm-install which does have a local installer script which can be adjusted to run on debian if you would like to test.

I took a look at the scripts, and it’s actually not difficult; you just need to switch from the PPA addition method to writing directly to the file and importing the key.

The idea of ​​supporting Debian is good, but if it's specifically for Kali, it's not worth it.
If ML4W supported Debian, it would obviously support Kali and any other distro based on it.

Re: Kali / Debian. Normally I would agree. However, I have a debian based Hyprland project and have always had issues with Kali. To the point where I don't support Kali Linux Install issues, issues once installed, etc

hmm i think i'll try making kali linux hyprland conf files myself. come to think of it i too have encountered difficulties while working with kali linux because of the repositories and all of that

I don't recall all the details. I know some were the in the install process itself. You might want to use the deb pkgs for Hyprland first. It will be older but supports LUA My project builds from source to keep HL current. Often have to deal with build changes on new versions of Hyprland.
