Editorial content only for the upcoming 1.15.0 release. No code paths, no behaviour changes, no version bump.

The commit is typed docs: on purpose: the release-notes generator discards that type, and this commit must not appear in the notes it prepares.

What changed

docs/changelog.html — adds the 1.15.0 entry and moves the "Latest" badge off 1.14.4. The version footer is deliberately left at v1.14.4 for release.yml to bump at tag time.

msix/generate_listing_csv.py — refreshes the Microsoft Store release notes to 1.15.0 in all 8 languages. They were stale at 1.13.9, and en-us had been empty since the file was created, which made Partner Center fall back to another language for the primary listing.

flatpak/io.github.nelsonduarte.PDFApps.metainfo.xml — adds six release entries (1.15.0, 1.14.4, 1.14.3, 1.14.0, 1.13.17, 1.12.0). The metainfo had been frozen at v1.8.3 since April, and it is what Linux software centres display. Also corrects the tool count from 13 to 15 and adds the two missing bullets, for page numbers and N-up layout.

Verification

  • Suite: 746 passed, 2 skipped.
  • Line endings verified at byte level in worktree, index and committed blob: 0 CRLF lines in all three files. core.autocrlf is true and there is no .gitattributes, so this was checked explicitly rather than assumed.
  • app/constants.py and installer.py both remain at 1.14.4; changelog footer remains v1.14.4.
  • No workflow is triggered by this PR. security-deps.yml is path-filtered to requirements.txt, flatpak/requirements-pinned.txt and its own file, none of which are touched. codeql.yml runs on pull_request to main and is expected to run.

Identified debt, not addressed here

Recording these so they are not lost. None is a regression from this PR.

  1. "13 built-in tools" survives in five downstream manifests. Arch, Fedora, Snap and winget users still read 13:

    • aur/pdfapps/PKGBUILD:5
    • aur/pdfapps/.SRCINFO:2
    • rpm/pdfapps.spec:31
    • snap/snapcraft.yaml:7
    • winget/nelsonduarte.PDFApps.locale.en-US.yaml:15

Note docs/changelog.html:397 also says "13 PDF tools", but that is the historical 1.0 entry and is correct frozen.

  2. Four broken screenshots in the metainfo, not three. Measured on the committed blob, the stale nelsonduarte.github.io image URLs are at lines 38, 42, 46 and 50, all dead after the Cloudflare Pages migration. Flathub renders broken screenshots. There is also a fifth stale reference on line 55, <url type="homepage">, pointing at the same retired domain, which is worth fixing in the same pass.

  3. Eight date divergences between docs/changelog.html and the real tags, the largest off by sixteen days.

  4. Search terms 5 and 6 are empty in Portuguese only (msix/generate_listing_csv.py:355); every other language fills all six. Portuguese also carries only 1 screenshot URL against English's 4, in the same file.

Editorial content only, no code paths touched. Typed as docs: on purpose so
the release-notes generator discards it: this commit prepares the notes for
1.15.0 and must not appear in them.

1.14.4. The version footer is deliberately left at v1.14.4 for release.yml
