I've designed a new app icon for InputSourcePro that follows the guidelines and style of macOS 26. Since macOS 26 is currently in Developer Beta, I wanted to discuss whether it would be appropriate to update the icon at this stage, or if it's better to wait until the official release.
Preview of the new icon
Background & Rationale
The new icon is fully redrawn to comply with macOS 26 system aesthetics.
The update aims to keep InputSourcePro visually consistent with the latest macOS design language.
Since macOS 26 is still in beta, there may be further changes to guidelines or user expectations.
Questions for maintainers
Would you like to update the app icon now for early adopters, or wait until macOS 26 is officially released?
Is there any feedback or specific requirements for icon updates in this project?
As you mentioned, macOS 26 is still in early beta, and there may be further changes. Since the new Icon Composer also requires Xcode 26 beta, I think it would be a good idea to wait until the stable version is released. For now, we could use a dedicated develop branch to keep track of these features and wait for the macOS 26 stable release.
