Not reading rotate from phoc.ini

I have set rotate = 90 on phoc.ini and it refuses to rotate. I even changed scaling to 3 to see if it works and it does.

[output:eDP-1]
rotate = 90

They only way I manage to rotate Phrog is using this command

sudo -u _greetd WAYLAND_DISPLAY=wayland-0 XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/user/104 wlr-randr --output eDP-1 --transform 90

Am I doing something wrong?

The behaviour you're seeing is deliberate, Phosh forces the rotation for the built-in display: https://github.com/PhoshMobi/phosh/blob/main/src/rotation-manager.c#L254

There's upstream issues tracking this already, I believe.

... And actually, you already raised an issue for basically the same thing last year 😅: #120

So I'll close this out as a duplicate of #120
