The v0.5.2 tag was cut without bumping this, so the package reported 0.5.1 while the tag said otherwise. Version metadata is a diagnostic tool: the probe-logging bug was traced by reading importlib.metadata.version inside a running pod, and a version string that disagrees with the tag sends that investigation the wrong way.
