Add an opt-in Parallel Search preset to the MCP server registry. MCP servers → Add Parallel Search opens the existing editable registration form with
https://search.parallel.ai/mcp, native execution, tools shown up front, and no authentication. The shortcut is hidden whenparallel-searchis already registered, so saved server settings stay intact. It is unavailable while the registry loads or refreshes. Preset creation uses the existing revision-zero write guard to refuse concurrent replacements. The server is created only when the user saves; profiles and sessions then attach it using the existing MCP controls.Parallel Search MCP offers free web search and page extraction without an API key, subject to anonymous rate limits. Existing custom registration, saved servers, approval and tool allowances, and built-in Web search continue through their current paths. The manual explains registration and attachment.
Validation: the web test suite, web typecheck and production build, documentation diagnostics and build/link checks, and
git diff --check. The new form tests cover the submitted native/keyless configuration, deliberate save, editable fields, resetting to custom defaults after cancellation, viewer permissions, preserving an existing configured/disabled Parallel server, and blocking submission during a registry refresh or after a late collision. Live model/provider calls were not run; this change adds a registration preset and owns no MCP transport.I work at Parallel. Search benchmark sources: DeepSearchQA and Time per Task. These are external search benchmarks, not measurements of Lightspeed.
