The console's minimum-length field said 6-128 and allowed 128 while its validation (and the backend) only accepted 6-99, AWS's range. The field now uses the same 6-99 bounds. In the AWS protocol, a MinimumLength outside 6-99 (including 0, which the Terraform provider sends when a password_policy block omits it) or not an integer is rejected with an AWS-style InvalidParameterException instead of being defaulted or reported with the native API's message. A PasswordPolicy given to CreateUserPool or UpdateUserPool is taken as a whole: a character class it leaves out is not required. The Go SDK v2 omits false flags, so the Terraform provider's require_symbols = false was stored as true and showed as a perpetual diff. awstest.Signed signs X-Amz-Target when present, for awsJson requests that bypass the CLI's client-side validation.
The demo backend seeds its fixtures on every page load (GET requests do not persist state to sessionStorage), and the seeds drew ids from Math.random: Step Functions execution ids, SQS message ids, CloudTrail event ids and others changed on each load, so a reload or a direct link to a detail page showed "Execution not found". Randomness in the demo now goes through util.random(), which is Math.random at runtime and a PRNG seeded per service while the fixtures are built, so every fixture id, name and ARN is the same on every load. Resources created in a session still get random ids and persist in sessionStorage as before.
homecloud aws-env printed AWS_ENDPOINT_URL=http://127.0.0.1:8080, while the docs disagreed on whether Terraform needs localhost. Tested with OpenTofu, the AWS CLI and boto3: path-style S3 works with either, but S3 Control puts the account ID in front of the endpoint's host (http://123456789012.127.0.0.1:8080/v20180820/...), which does not resolve. The AWS provider 6.x calls it for every aws_s3_bucket (ListTagsForResource), so a plain bucket failed to apply with 127.0.0.1; aws s3control and boto3's s3control client fail the same way. 123456789012.localhost resolves to loopback, and everything works with localhost. aws-env now replaces a loopback IP (127.0.0.1, ::1) with localhost; the CLI keeps calling the recorded address. The GitHub Action exports http://localhost:<port>, the console's connect snippets suggest the same, and compat/run.sh uses aws-env's value as is. The docs and guides drop the extra export and give the one real reason.
A crawl of every detail link in the demo, opened in a fresh browser, found links that never worked: the shop-payments-requests queue and the shop-image-jobs queue named by Lambda event source mappings, the shop-rotate-db-secret and shop-rotate-smtp-secret rotation functions named by Secrets Manager, and the shop/db/password secret named by the ECS task definitions. Add the queue and the two functions, point the image resizer at its existing shop-image-resize queue and the task definitions at shop/prod/db-password.
The crawl of every detail link, opened directly, found two more kinds of link to nothing. The shop-api target group listed three ECS task ids that no task had; it now targets shop-api's running tasks, with their private IPs. RDS and ElastiCache instances name their rds!<id> master credentials secret, which the demo never created; Secrets Manager now keeps one, managed by RDS, for every instance that has one, as the server does, and drops it with the instance.
Lambda functions named execution roles IAM never had (shop-api-role, shop-rotation-role and seven more), the state machines named shop-sfn-role and the web instances the shop-web-role instance profile. Add the Lambda execution roles, and point shop-payments, the state machines and the instances at the existing shop-payments-lambda-role, shop-fulfillment-sfn-role and shop-web-profile.

Three small fixes.
Cognito: PasswordPolicy MinimumLength validated 6-99, like AWS. The console's minimum-length field said 6-128 and allowed up to 128, while the backend only accepted 6-99. The AWS protocol defaulted or passed through out-of-range values (including the 0 Terraform sends when
password_policyomits it) instead of rejecting them. The field now uses 6-99, and CreateUserPool/UpdateUserPool reject a MinimumLength outside 6-99, or one that is not an integer, with an AWS-style InvalidParameterException. A given PasswordPolicy is now taken as a whole: the Go SDK v2 leaves out false flags, sorequire_symbols = falsefrom the Terraform provider was stored as true and showed as a diff on every plan.AWS_ENDPOINT_URL names a local server localhost.
homecloud aws-envprintedhttp://127.0.0.1:8080. S3 Control puts the account ID in front of the endpoint host (123456789012.127.0.0.1), which does not resolve, and the Terraform AWS provider 6.x calls S3 Control for everyaws_s3_bucket, so a plain bucket failed to apply.aws-envnow gives AWS tools a loopback address aslocalhost; the CLI keeps calling the address it recorded. The GitHub Action mirror, the console's connect snippets, compat/run.sh, the docs, the Terraform example and the guide pages now say the same thing. The canonical action repo gets the same change in solinode/setup-homecloud#1.Demo console: detail links that work when opened directly.
rds!<id>secrets of RDS and ElastiCache instances, nine Lambda execution roles, the state machines' role and the web instances' instance profile. The missing resources are added, or the references now point at ones that exist. As on the server, RDS now owns ards!<id>secret for each instance and deletes it with the instance.Checked by collecting all 435 demo links, then opening each one directly in a fresh incognito browser context, once with the real clock and once with the clock moved 5 hours ahead. None showed "not found" or an error.
